Project Notes
The purpose
The Gordon needed a warm, flexible student image library to support recruitment across brochures, website content, presentations, trade shows and international agent-facing materials. The images needed to help prospective students picture themselves at The Gordon, with a clear sense of campus life, student connection and the lifestyle appeal of studying in Geelong.
What I photographed
The shoot included collaborative student lifestyle scenes, individual student profile images, City Campus hero shots, Geelong Waterfront images and drone photography of both the campus and waterfront. The aim was to create a useful and welcoming image library that could speak to both domestic and international audiences.
The approach
The photography needed to feel friendly, natural and aspirational, while still being carefully directed for marketing use. I worked closely with the client team, the students, campus locations and changing winter weather to create images that felt warm, believable and full of student energy.
Alongside the required campus, profile and drone images, I looked for the moments that made the shoot feel like real student life: walking between classes, spending time together, exploring the waterfront and feeling at home in Geelong. The result was a practical image library with enough warmth and variety to support brochures, websites, presentations and international recruitment.
