Project Notes
The purpose
RMIT International needed a flexible campus lifestyle image library to support student recruitment, course promotion and university marketing across print, digital and in-person channels.
The photographs needed to feel warm, authentic and useful across brochures, course guides, the RMIT website, posters, campus digital signage, overseas events and agent-facing promotional material.
What I photographed
The shoot focused on a diverse group of students across key moments of the student journey: exploring the campus, asking about courses, collaborating on projects, working in groups and enjoying university life in Melbourne.
The aim was to create images that felt natural and aspirational, while still being carefully directed for marketing use.
The approach
Authenticity was central to the project.
I planned the shoot around location scouting, sun direction and the timing needed to create a warm, backlit city-campus feel. We sourced relevant props, selected practical campus locations and carefully directed the students so the images felt relaxed, believable and aligned with RMIT International’s broader recruitment story.
